Welcome!
Penn State's College
of Agricultural Sciences is now among the largest agricultural
colleges in the nation and in the Big 10. The college is
a complex and diverse organization that works vigorously with
federal, state, county, and University partners to deliver
outstanding educational experiences and products for our diverse
students and clientele. More than 2,500 undergraduate and
graduate students are enrolled in the college, which has approximately
240 faculty members. Undergraduate students can choose from
among 19 major and 21 minor programs in the agricultural sciences,
offering nearly 800 individual courses. Recently, the college
made a new commitment to making international activities an
integral part of its research, teaching and extension missions.
Cooperative extension educational programs, offered through
the auspices of the college, are conducted in all 67
counties of Pennsylvania. To meet these multiple missions,
the college employs more than 1,300 dedicated full-time faculty
and staff working in over 70 locations across the Commonwealth.
One of the college's
core values is its dedication and commitment to diversity,
multicultural understanding and cross-cultural competence.
